Northwest Region Planning Committee
The committee will develop plans for Northwest Region Training Camps, support USMAA growth in the Northwest Region, and evaluate the need for State Directors.
Nominations for Member Representatives are currently open. Members can send nominations to Robert South, Northwest Region Director, at
nwusa@mararts.org. Ideally the Northwest Region Planning Committee will include at least one representative from each State in the Region. You're welcome to nominate yourself.
Committee Duties
• Help guide the Northwest Region in its activities within the USMAA.
• Develop plans for Regional Seminars and Regional Tournaments.
• Develop plans for shared training opportunities between clubs.
• Coordinate activities building camaraderie among Northwest Region members.
• Develop plans coordinated with Style Examination Boards for promotion opportunities in the Northwest Region.
The Northwest Region will present a challenge for training seminars due to the distance between clubs.
We will all benefit from State leaders dedicated to USMAA growth and providing services for all our members.
I hope we can enlist Sensei that are willing to coordinate local seminars and tournaments for the benefit of all our members.
We should coordinate activities with consideration of standards developed by the Karate-Do Division and USMAA promotion standards. Comments or questions can be sent to Robert South at the e-mail address above.
Executive Director Makoid recently published the USMAA Promotions Standard. Please review it and consider it to be a logical guideline in support of all our members.
You can view it on the Promotion Standard Page.
In Service and Friendship,
Robert South, Director
